Carrier Sales Representative

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Ordering Base Inc. is a Philadelphia-based truck dispatching company founded in 2023. We support owner-operators and small fleets across the United States with load booking, rate negotiation, route planning, broker setup, credit checks, invoicing and 24/7 driver communication. Our dispatchers work load boards and broker networks every day so carriers stay loaded, paperwork stays clean, and money moves after delivery. We are hiring people who take ownership, communicate clearly, and treat every driver like a long-term partner, not a one-off load.

ROLE SUMMARY

Carrier Sales Representative: bring owner-operators and small fleets to Ordering Base and set them up to win.

You are the first serious conversation many carriers have with us. You listen more than you pitch, explain how dispatch works, set honest expectations on rates and lanes, and hand warm carriers to onboarding and dispatch.

DAY-TO-DAY / SCHEDULE

On-site in Philadelphia with outbound calling, follow-up and occasional local networking. CRM discipline matters as much as charisma.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prospect owner-operators and fleets via phone, referrals, social outreach and campaigns.

• Run discovery: authority, insurance, equipment, lanes, home time, rate goals and pain points.

• Explain Ordering Base services, support model and commission clearly, no overselling.

• Schedule handoffs to onboarding the same day a carrier commits.

• Stay in touch after kickoff to confirm the carrier is happy with their dispatcher.

• Keep accurate CRM notes, next steps and weekly pipeline activity.

• Coordinate with dispatch when a prospect has urgent freight needs during sales conversations.

• Represent the brand professionally in every call and message.

• Share market feedback from carriers so we improve the offer.

• Hit activity and enrollment goals discussed with leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Sales or customer-service experience; trucking industry background is a strong plus.

• Confident, clear and respectful on the phone.

• Organized follow-up habits and clean note-taking.

• Self-motivated, coachable and resilient with rejection.

• On-site in Philadelphia, PA; eligible to work in the U.S.

NICE TO HAVE

• Existing relationships with owner-operators or small fleets.

• Bilingual English/Spanish.

• Prior dispatch sales or carrier recruitment experience.
